Significance
I chose to read this book because it looked good and I love to readrealistic fiction. This book realates to other people because many daughters have mothers who get cancer.
Perspective
Catherine Hannigan Doesn't seem like she is against or for anything in this book. The problem is that Ida B. feels very worried for her mother and decides not to like or be nice to anyone.
Evidence
A fact is a true statement, like,"My name is Lizzie." An opinion is someone's view of something and is NOT true. Example,"I like to play in the ocean."
Connection
I know of a woman who had cancer that was so bad she was in the hospital for three years. The cancer got so bad, she couldn't keep living. In the story, Ida B.'s mother gets the same type o cancer, but she is able to get chemotherapy and overcome her sickness.
Supposition
If Ida B.'s mother had never gotten cancer, the whole story would have been different and unless something else terrible happened, there wouldn't be a point to the story.
